Sad Anniversary

Today, 31 October, represents a sad sad day in Brooklyn history. It was on this day the morons running city government in NYC, removed the last 3 trolley lines from our streets. I remember that day well as I once lived on Schenectady Avenue between Church and Snyder. How often did my cub scout pack, 341, have knothole tickets to a Dodgers game and it was an easy trip. Pay your dime fare and ask for a free transfer to the B49 bus on Rogers Avenue up the hill. What a sad decision which Brooklynites are still paying to price for today.

Of course, this was a forerunner of what was to be a more devastating loss at the end of the next baseball season. But that's for another thread.
