In the 50's we played touch on e17 between Newkirk and Foster for 3 hours + on Sat Mornings and afternoons. My brother Bobby and his friends played on 217 large diamond w. blocking on Sat. and Sundays. Years later after our Luna Park Sunday Morning Fast Pitch Doubleheader League finished up we competed in the Sunday Touch league (w. blocking) at Luna -8 men to a side! We were a neighborhood team (E17 street) with guys from E17, 217 and Our Lady Of Refuge). Played against teams from Bensonhurst, Coney Island, Sheepshead Bay, and Gravesend-teams which also played in the Softball League!
