A number of things make this parade different. 1st , it is held in an area where too many have guns. 2nd Alcohol is EXPECTED to be used to remove all inhibitions. This holiday is meant to be one of confrontation, catch somebody and smear a color on them. put it all together near nudity ,alcohol and guns, and a spirit of confrontation are a volatile mixture. Most depressing is the fact that a young college grad was killed at last years parade. The year before a young attorney who worked as an aide in the governors office was shot in the head and killed. THESE ARE THE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT THE BLACK COMMUNITY CAN NOT AFFORD TO LOSE.
