Kid, Definitely Roth's Deli-a favorite for 217 families for lunch-terrific hot dogs! Plaza Deli acrss from the Newkirk Ave BMT station was the place for pastrami, corn beef, and brisket sandwiches piled high and washed down with Dr. Brown sodas. My brother and his friends hung out at Flinks across the street from 217. My friends and I favored the egg creams, cherry lime rickeys, and Mission Sodas at Borensteins Candy Store on Foster between e17 and e18 streets! Sizeable 217 contigent presence on the Board-would make Miss Bildersee and Miss Neenan proud-not to mention Max Proshan of fond memory!!
