I do not have a specific recollection of linden trees lining Linden Blvd. I'm sure I smelled their fragrance on many an occasion but, sadly, took it for granted. My dreams, daydreams and Google Earth are the time machines that I use to go back and appreciate the feeling of what I should have, perhaps, appreciated then....
While I am very much rooted in the present reality, these respites help me push the "re-set button" when things really get too twisted. Perhaps the library did not always have the air conditioning turned on; but, my recollection is that it was always on during my visits there during that hot summer of '58.
When the weather gets colder, I'll think about a hot pizza slice at our Pizza Spot!
