Steve, in addition to Moriaritys there was another bar on the Plaza around the corner from the Ebingers on Newkirk-LaSalles -they also served a great roast beef dinner! Billy Moriarity and Paul Darcy worked the sticks at Mo's.2 pretty good softball teams came out of the neighborhood in those daze-Mo's played in the arc league in Red Hook-E.17 Street played in the Luna Park fast pitch league. At times we combined to play other bars in outside games. A late addition was a bar opened by Frankie Siddons on Newkirk across from Harry's Gas Station. It was near the check cashing place! PaulDarcy also tended at the Club 773 (?) on Coney Island Ave off Cortelyou in his later years. Great memories of a terrific neighborhood!!
