So many books -so little time (LOL) esp after being in proximity with them in a career in libraries for 41 years. "Last of the Breed" by the great Western Writer Louis L'Amour-this is NOT a Western however-it is a pursuit and survival novel about an Native American AirForce pilot who travels across Siberia while being tracked by the Russians; The 2ND title is "The Westies" by T.J. English-about the Irish mafia in Hell's Kitchen re Jimmy Cooney and Mickey Featherstone's violent activities which rivals the Sopranos MO; 3rd book I could not put down (because Fr. Dan Berrigan, SJ and the rest of the Latin teachers at Brooklyn Prep) would not let us do that. Fortunately we had "trots" (English translations of the Latin version of The Aeneid! They were frowned upon ...but...
