i was stationed at FLOYD BENNETT FIELD MY JOB WAS TO AIM THE 4 90MM GuNS AT ANY INCOMING ENEMY. IN 1957 WE MOVED ACROSS THE BRIDGE TO FT TILDEN. LATER THEY GOT RID OF THE 90S AND SWITCHED TO THE NIKE MISSiLES.I SPENT A LOT OF TIME SWIMMING OR FISHING .THAT PLACE ,SANDY HOOK NJ ,FT. WADSWORTH IN STAATEN ISL.. ARE NOW PART OF THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE AS IS FLOYD BENNETT,I WAS STATIONED AT EACH OF THEM.I WENT TO NYC COMMUNITY COLLEGE FROM THERE BY BUS AND TRAIN ,IN UNIFORM. THOSE WERE GREAT YEARS.
