I went on that ride once -- only once. You sat on a seat very much like the swing in a park, and you and held on just as you held onto a swing that you sat on in a park. You were hoisted 200 feet in the air and watched people on the ground grow smaller and smaller. When the drop came, for the seat moved out from under you, and then, thankfully, your body caught up and you waited until the parachute opened and caught the air.

This ride was moved to Coney Island from the 1939 World's fair.
