I became a Yankee fan after the Dodgers left Brooklyn. I was only 10 which made it easy. I did go to some Met games at the Polo Grounds, They had Hodges, Neal, Zimmer, Craig, Labine and Pignatano in 1962.They also got Larry Burright and Tim Harkness two little known ex Dodgers. In 1963 they purchased Duke Snider from the Dodgers but his baseball career was almost over. The best player that year was Homer the Dog, their mascot. I had all the baseball cards (long gone) and saw Homer in person.
