For many years the McKeever family were minority owners of the Dodgers and fought off O'Malley. "Judge" McKeever ' was very wealthy and left his Dodger shares to his daughter Dearie and her husband James Mulvey. Judge McKeever lived on Maple Street and was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery.

In the old "Life of Riley" TV show Riley and his pal Jim were members of a fraternal organization the "BPLA" or the Brooklyn Patriots of Los Angeles. Riley moved to LA to work on aircraft assembly.
