Marie, I wasn't saying that the 1950s were the good old days but just mentioning how things were back then. As a teenager, a pool room seemed like a great refuge from the outside world, a place to hang out with the guys and feel like men. I'm sure that girls enjoyed being with just females at times, like at pajama parties and such, and guys had the same feelings. There's much to be said for camaraderie, and it has nothing to do with the exclusion of others.
