Anyone remember the National (AKA the Itch). It was on Washington and Prospect Pl. I lived on Prospect Pl and on a hot Saturday, there was nothing like the Itch because it was Air Conditioned
Unlike today, it didn't seem to matter what part of the movie you walked in on --- you just stayed until "I've seen this part" came up. There were always serials. Sir Galahad was always at deaths door but next week ,by some miracle he escaped !!!
The Itch got its name when one of my friends came out of it with a bug crawling on him. Somewhere in the late '50s it was turned into a supermarket.
