Just after WW II an uncle of mine came home from Europe and was still in uniform. GI's got into Ebbets Field free then and he took me to about 25 games during the summer of '45. When I was in HS the bleacher seats were 50 cents so my friends and went to most summer games in the late 40's and early 50's. It was really a blast.

In 1957 I got married and left Brooklyn to go into the Army. The Dodgers left too. I never came back to Brooklyn, except to visit.
