when that happened l was up on a 40 ft ladder.Dad and l were painting the outside of a home on E. 27th St. He had hooked up a radio speaker system that we could hear in all parts of the property. I did the higher work and he did the lower . When disaster struck he let out such a mournful moan that it still hurts me today to think about it.We were both rooting for the mets but he was a SERIOUS fan . Today l watch Met games with my wife and she gets emotional like my dad ,I love them both.
