I was an INK WELL monitor---and 2 of us got to clean the erasers each morning---the fast way--in the boys bathroom open the window and clap them together--or go to the mimeo room(remember them?)
and use the round machine with the beater on them with the dust screen----or if you wanted to really have fun and the teacher wasn't around-----Hey LETS HAVE AN ERASER FIGHT---and myseriously
they were clean before the teacher got back--then she would hand a dust cloth to the closest one to the wall to wipe off the dust on the closets or walls-----GOTCHA----....Art mimeograph paper and ink--hmmm another subject remember the smell well...
