What a memory this jogged! I can see those desks and inkwells in my mind's eye as though it was just yesterday. I remember all the initials that were carved into the wood desks and sometimes fantasized about who the person(s)might have been. Glad we didn't really use those inkwells anymore because I had long braids at that time :)

By the way,have we ever discussed before having attended P.S. 183? I would have been there around the same time you were there (1945-1947).
