CORRECT...I HAD BEEN IN PUBLIC SCHOOL (P.S.26 AND P.S. 54) IN THE LATE 30s and EARLY 40s.... we used to have a "Monitor" to fill these ink wells... The "Teachers" Pet was usually chosen.... wow..... l...o....n.....g time ago...
